Since our beginning in 1951 as the Filer City Mill Employees Credit Union we have offered a member focused, community based financial experience. We offer financial services to our members through life’s journey, from your very first account to your first vehicle or home, to your retirement.
History as our Base, Learning into the Future
Filer Credit Union has a great history within Filer City and the surrounding Manistee area. Starting off with a grassroots effort from a group of American Box Board employees(now Packaging Corporation of America) there has always been a focus on making our community a better place through financial wellness.
By providing an alternative financial option in the community members were able to save for their futures while having access to loan options for items such as vehicles and even homes.
With continued learning Filer Credit Union has been able to adapt throughout the years as the financial sector has had an accelerated implementation of modern technologies. As our members expect to access their finances anywhere and faster than ever before we have continued to stay forward thinking with many new products, services, and member benefits. Filer Credit Union looks forward to being around into the future, for our members and our community.
